The physical release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy will come with only the first game, Spyro the Dragon, on the disc, with the other two having to be downloaded through provided codes.
In spite of its delay, it was confirmed that the collection will still launch with a day one patch. Spyro Reignited Trilogy was originally scheduled for launch on September 21, 2018, it was delayed shortly before launch until November 13, 2018, with the developer stating that they needed more time to complete work on the game. Similar to N.Sane Trilogy, though Reignited Trilogy is technically being called a remaster, it is a ground up reconstruction of the first three games. The remasters are built on Unreal Engine 4, and follow a similar structure to Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, which Activision had also released previously as a remastered collection of the first three Crash Bandicoot games on the PlayStation. It was announced that Toys for Bob, developers of the Skylanders games, would be handling development of the remasters.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy was announced by Activision in April, 2018. It is developed by Toys for Bob, and published by Activision. Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a collection that bundles together remasters of the first three Spyro games originally made by Insomniac Games for the PlayStation- Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
